We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Housekeeping Manager to oversee our housekeeping operations. This position offers an annual salary range from $70,000 to $77,000 and is ideal for candidates with a robust background in housekeeping supervision. The Housekeeping Manager is instrumental in ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and grounds meet rigorous cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards. The role demands an individual who can effectively lead and develop a dynamic team, manage resources, and maintain compliance with both company policies and environmental standards, including our EarthView sustainability program.

In this pivotal position, the successful candidate will interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support housekeeping associates to guarantee operational excellence aligned with hotel brand standards. They will also be responsible for preparing schedules based on occupancy, managing inventory orders, and maintaining departmental documentation. The Housekeeping Manager actively engages with guests and addresses their inquiries or concerns, ensuring guest satisfaction and continuously improving service quality. Furthermore, the role encourages participation in safety committees and adherence to OSHA and MSDS standards, emphasizing a secure workplace.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two years previous housekeeping supervisor experience required
  • Ability to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Commitment to uphold safety and sustainability standards
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates ensuring they perform according to brand or hotel standards and HHM core values
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and safety
  • Answer inquiries about hotel policies and services and resolve guests’ complaints and concerns
  • Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Prepare schedules based on occupancy and assign duties to workers and schedule shifts or notify vendor of weekly staffing needs
  • Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to ensure supplies are purchased in a timely manner
  • Prepare required paperwork related to departmental functions
  • Communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the department or hotel operation
  • Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits, comply with MSDS and OSHA standards, wear protective safety equipment, and participate in safety committees
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
