This Executive Housekeeper position is for an affluent family residing in Newport Beach, California, within Orange County. The family maintains a large private residence featuring fine furnishings, antiques, and specialty surfaces requiring meticulous upkeep. This private residence demands an Executive Housekeeper who is not only skilled and experienced but also highly discreet and polished in their approach to managing a luxury home environment. The role is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, offering a competitive salary coupled with health insurance benefits. The Executive Housekeeper will be the central figure responsible for maintaining immaculate cleanliness throughout the residence. This includes expert laundering, steaming, seasonal wardrobe rotation, and impeccable closet organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in luxury cleaning techniques, managing household staff, and coordinating with various vendors and service providers.

In addition to performing hands-on housekeeping duties, the Executive Housekeeper will lead and train junior housekeepers, ensuring seamless service delivery throughout the household. Managing household supplies, scheduling deliveries, and overseeing household automation technology such as security and entertainment systems are critical aspects of the role. Furthermore, the housekeeper will occasionally assist with light meal preparation or work in coordination with the household’s chef, contributing to the smooth operation of the residence.

Another key responsibility involves maintaining thorough household manuals, cleaning schedules, and inventory logs to track and manage the household’s needs systematically. The Executive Housekeeper will work under the supervision of the House Manager and may be required to cover duties of the second housekeeper when absent.

Candidates must be fluent in English, with additional languages considered a distinct advantage. Proficiency with technology, including MacOS, Microsoft Office, and smart home platforms, is essential. Alongside professional skills, discretion, emotional intelligence, and a strong service orientation are paramount. A valid driver’s license and occasional flexibility to work extended hours are also required.

This position calls for an individual dedicated to maintaining superior standards in all aspects of housekeeping, including daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and organizing various rooms like the gym, craft room, and wet bar. Weekly deep cleaning and polishing of furniture, fixtures, and outdoor areas are part of the routine. Supporting special events, coordinating with other household staff, and assisting with pet care are additional specialized responsibilities.
