The company prides itself on delivering outstanding guest experiences through innovative technology, exceptional customer service, and vibrant venues that cater to families, friends, corporate events, and casual outings alike. Topgolf's commitment to fostering inclusive and diverse workplaces, along with a culture centered on fun, teamwork, excellence, courage, and caring, sets it apart in the entertainment industry. Located in North Charleston, South Carolina, the venue operates as a hub of activity where community, entertainment, and culinary excellence meet to offer guests memorable experiences.
This role is for an experienced Culinary Manager at the Topgolf North Charleston venue. The Culinary Manager is a leadership position responsible for overseeing all culinary operations within the venue's kitchen. This includes supervising and coaching a team of culinary professionals to deliver best-in-class food experiences that align with Topgolf’s brand standards and core values. The manager will play a critical role in maintaining food quality, managing inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring that all safety and sanitation standards are rigorously upheld. Key to the position is the ability to lead and develop a high-performing culinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while fostering associate engagement through effective coaching and mentorship.
The Culinary Manager will also be responsible for menu planning, including selecting and developing recipes that meet corporate approval, standardizing production recipes to ensure consistency, and crafting presentation techniques that maintain quality standards. This position requires hands-on leadership to delegate tasks effectively, monitor operational performance, and collaborate with upper management, home office leadership, and vendors to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Additionally, the manager will oversee equipment operation and maintenance, plan and cost menus for special events and chef choice menus, and create action plans to capitalize on opportunities within the venue.
Candidates for this role should have a minimum of eight years in culinary management, demonstrating strong leadership and team development capabilities. A bachelor’s degree or a related culinary degree is preferred but not mandatory. This position demands an individual who thrives in a high-energy setting, maintains composure under pressure, and upholds the highest standards of excellence in food service. Physical endurance and the ability to work in high-temperature environments are required due to the demands of kitchen operations. The Culinary Manager role offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to a leading entertainment brand that values innovation, teamwork, and guest satisfaction, with benefits that support employee well-being and career growth.
