Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Control the day-to-day culinary operations of the venue within company policies
  • Maintain a professional company image including kitchen cleanliness and proper uniforms
  • Maintain updated and accurate costing and documentation of dishes
  • Establish inventory procedures and manage stock levels for food and equipment
  • Ensure security, proper storage, and timely replenishment of food, inventory, and uniforms
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and cleanliness according to health standards
  • Resolve employee conflicts, customer issues, and inventory discrepancies
  • Motivate staff during shifts and ensure consistent quality in product and service
  • Control back-of-house food costs through ordering and inventory management
  • Communicate standards and cooking methods clearly to staff and customers
  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health regulations
  • Organize schedules, cleaning duties, shipments, and supervise team members
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and discipline kitchen staff as necessary
  • Lead by example and mentor new employees
