Job Requirements

  • ServSafe Manager or comparable sanitation certification
  • Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Working knowledge of mathematics for recipes, ordering, and financial research
  • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software
  • Ability to delegate responsibility, pay attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and show a high level of patience
  • Excellent communication skills in all aspects written, verbal and non-verbal

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of culinary management experience
  • Background in fine dining
  • Prior luxury hotel experience preferred
  • ServSafe Manager or comparable sanitation certification
  • Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • Working knowledge of mathematics for recipes, ordering, and financial research
  • Proficiency in computers and MS Office software
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal and non-verbal
  • Strong creativity and passion for culinary excellence
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Approachable, open-minded and fair
  • Flexible work hours

  • Experience with Agilysys POS preferred
  • Additional language skills desirable

Job Duties

  • Direct and oversee all culinary operations to include production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability
  • Create and implement new menus and individual menu items for outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with Director of Food and Beverage
  • Interact with guests and clients to monitor and assess satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Perform general management duties including systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision and professional development, scheduling, counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
