We are seeking a dedicated Chef Manager who embodies the passion and commitment required to deliver exceptional culinary and customer service experiences. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager will adopt a hands-on approach to lead kitchen personnel, manage culinary operations, and uphold safety and sanitation standards. This role plays a pivotal part in team development, culinary excellence, and client relations while ensuring budget compliance and successful execution of company initiatives.
The Chef Manager at Aramark will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all culinary activities, including training kitchen staff and standardizing recipes to maintain consistent quality. Estimating food consumption and managing food purchasing ensures operational efficiency, while overseeing menu development, pricing, and presentation techniques helps deliver a superior dining experience. Maintaining kitchen equipment and guaranteeing compliance with safety and sanitation protocols are critical responsibilities to uphold Aramark's high standards. This role may also involve overseeing special catering events and providing culinary instruction or demonstrations to staff as part of ongoing development.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary position
- 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
- Culinary degree preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols
- Proven management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills

Job Duties
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise or coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
