Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of food service management experience
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
- experience managing budgets and controlling food costs
- knowledge of therapeutic diets and senior nutrition
- strong leadership and communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
- experience managing budgets and controlling food costs

- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Oversee daily food service operations in a senior living community
- plan menus based on resident preferences, dietary restrictions, and nutrition guidelines
- ensure compliance with physician-ordered diets and special dietary needs
- monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and temperature
- maintain standardized recipes and conduct product testing
- order food and kitchen supplies
- manage vendor relationships
- complete monthly food inventory and manage food cost controls
- ensure compliance with state and local health department regulations
- maintain ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
- enforce sanitation, infection control, and safe food handling standards
- conduct regular kitchen audits and quality assurance checks
- develop and manage department budget
- monitor monthly expenses and food cost percentages
- implement cost-control measures and corrective action plans
- hire, train, supervise, and schedule kitchen and dining staff
- provide coaching, performance management, and staff development
- foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- collaborate with Executive Director and department heads
- engage with residents during meals to ensure satisfaction
- address concerns promptly and professionally
- maintain a hospitality-driven dining atmosphere
