Job Requirements
- Six years experience in fine dining, high volume kitchens with at least two years in leadership role
- Culinary degree preferred
- Knowledge of safety and hygiene protocols
- Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
- Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Stamina to work more than 40 hours per week
- Spanish language skills a plus
Job Qualifications
- Six years experience in fine dining, high volume kitchens with at least two years leadership role
- Culinary degree preferred
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen fundamentals including knife skills, butchery, sauces and fabrication
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze data
- Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
- Ability to communicate effectively and organize teams
- Experience in mentoring and developing culinary staff
Job Duties
- Assist with culinary leadership coverage at all restaurants during management shortages
- Coordinate, supervise, train and assist in operational areas during new restaurant openings and existing locations
- Lead all culinary operations ensuring high standards in food quality and guest service
- Develop seasonal menus and specials in collaboration with management
- Supervise planning, training and leadership to meet objectives in sales, costs, employee retention and guest satisfaction
- Work with corporate chefs and HR to develop a diverse culinary internship program
- Lead execution of service and staff development using management tools such as line checks, mentorship and performance management
