Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Executive Chef to lead a high-performing kitchen in an upscale, chef-driven steakhouse located in Ohio. This restaurant prides itself on delivering an exceptional dining experience in a fine dining setting, characterized by scratch-made dishes crafted with precision and passion. The steakhouse operates with strong culinary standards and is renowned for its chef-inspired menu that emphasizes quality, speed, and presentation in all aspects of food preparation and service.

As an Executive Chef, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the culinary standards of the restaurant while driving operational excellence. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a high-volume kitchen environment with annual sales exceeding $5 million, where leadership, discipline, and team development are essential. You will work closely with your culinary team to ensure that every dish served meets the restaurant’s signature standards of taste, portioning, and efficiency.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen operations including quality control, food cost management, inventory, ordering, waste reduction, sanitation, safety, and equipment maintenance. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three or more years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining, full-service scratch kitchen
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume kitchen operations with annual sales exceeding five million dollars
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food cost management, sanitation, and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years as an Executive Chef in a fine dining, full-service scratch kitchen
  • Proven ability to run high-volume service with annual sales of five million dollars or more without sacrificing standards
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing culinary teams
  • Solid operational discipline including systems, organization, and execution

Job Duties

  • Execute a chef-inspired menu with consistency, speed, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop a talented culinary team
  • Own quality control: taste, presentation, portioning, and ticket-time performance
  • Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste to protect profitability
  • Lead kitchen operations including sanitation, safety, and equipment readiness
