Job Description

Hospitality Confidential represents an exclusive opportunity to join a premier luxury golf club and resort located in the vibrant South Bay area of Northern California. This esteemed establishment is renowned for offering exceptional member experiences, combining upscale amenities, world-class golf facilities, and elegant dining options. The property prides itself on maintaining a distinguished reputation as a sought-after destination for private club members and guests seeking a refined and memorable hospitality environment. With a rich tradition of excellence, the resort blends the natural beauty of Northern California with curated culinary experiences that elevate every visit.

The Executive Chef role at this luxury golf club and resort is a pivotal leadership position requiring a seasoned culinary professional with a passion for delivering exquisite dining experiences in a member-focused setting. This role involves hands-on leadership across multiple food outlets, including member dining rooms, extensive banquet and event operations such as weddings and corporate gatherings, and food services for the on-property hotel. The Executive Chef will establish and uphold the culinary vision, ensuring that the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently met or exceeded.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Executive Chef who has demonstrated success in private clubs, luxury resorts, or fine dining establishments, with proven expertise managing high-volume banquets and multi-outlet operations. Leadership is a critical aspect of this position; the Executive Chef will engage directly with club members to tailor dining experiences to their needs while actively mentoring kitchen staff to foster a collaborative, motivated, and high-performing culinary team.

In addition to culinary leadership, the Executive Chef will be financially astute, taking full responsibility for controlling food costs, labor expenses, purchasing, and inventory management without compromising the luxury quality standards expected at this club. Collaboration with Food & Beverage, Events, and Hotel management teams is essential to ensure seamless coordination and service excellence across all guest touchpoints.

This position offers a highly competitive base salary in the range of $140,000 to $180,000 annually, complemented by an annual bonus, reflecting the candidate's contribution to the club's success. Employment benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, participation in a 401(k) retirement savings program, paid time off and holidays, as well as exclusive golf and dining privileges for the Executive Chef. Additionally, there are professional development opportunities designed to support ongoing growth and learning within the luxury hospitality sector.

This Executive Chef role is an excellent match for culinary leaders who thrive on engaging with members, take pride in high-level banquet execution, and are eager to contribute their expertise to a distinguished private golf club and resort. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the culinary reputation of the resort while fostering an environment of teamwork, innovation, and exceptional hospitality. This is a dynamic, hands-on position that offers a unique blend of creativity, operational expertise, and personal interaction with club members in a prestigious Northern California setting.
