The Executive Chef position at Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, is a vital management role overseeing all culinary operations at one of the most iconic sports and entertainment venues in San Francisco. This role is responsible for leading and developing the culinary team and for crafting innovative, customer-centric culinary solutions. The Executive Chef ensures culinary production aligns with established standards for preparation, presentation, and service while applying expert culinary techniques to food preparation to guarantee the highest quality output.

Job Requirements

  • Requires culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of culinary experience
  • At least 2 years in a management role preferred
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to simplify team agendas
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work event-based schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production connects to the Executional Framework
  • Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques in food preparation, production, presentation, and service
  • Manage culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to maintain quality food presentation
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees in best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees by creating shared understanding of goals and methods
  • Reward and recognize employees
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
  • Complete and maintain all staff records including training, shift checklists, and performance data
  • Develop and maintain effective client and guest rapport
  • Interact directly with guests daily
  • Aggregate and communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Deliver food and labor targets with focus on margin improvement
  • Ensure efficient execution and delivery of daily menu culinary products
  • Maintain integrity of standard Aramark food offer and food safety
  • Comply with Operational Excellence fundamentals including waste management and labor standards
  • Understand supply chain and procurement processes ensuring authorized suppliers
  • Implement Food Framework standards
  • Ensure accuracy of food consumption estimates and requisitions
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with Aramark SAFE food and Quality Assurance standards
  • Comply with all applicable policies and regulations
