The Executive Chef position at Vi represents a rare and enviable opportunity for a highly accomplished culinary professional to oversee all aspects of daily kitchen food production and support special functions and outside catering events. This role is integral to the management team of the community and carries significant responsibility for ensuring a high-quality food product and a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests. The Executive Chef must balance creativity, operational expertise, and leadership to deliver exceptional dining experiences while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. This role requires a seasoned individual with a proven track record in managing food and beverage operations within high-end restaurants, clubs, hotels, or senior living environments. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of budget management, reporting, staff training, and motivation techniques, and experience overseeing multiple food and beverage venues is favorable. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential, as is the ability to uphold culinary standards aligned with nutrition and healthy cooking practices.

The role demands strong communication and team-building skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the capacity to ensure a premium dining experience in a luxury setting. Candidates are required to hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with a Culinary Arts degree preferred. State health and sanitation certification, current CPR and First Aid certifications, and where applicable, a valid driver's license are mandatory. The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) designation and Certified Executive Chef (CEC) credential are seen as advantages, and candidates should either possess or be willing to obtain these certifications. This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 91,545.19 to USD 119,016.20 per year and requires compliance with Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening process. Job Requirements
