The Executive Chef role at Masters Academy International-New England, managed by Flik Independent School Dining, represents a vital leadership position in an academically and athletically elite private academy. Masters Academy International is distinctive as the first and only academy in New England to combine elite athletic training with top-tier academics, educating approximately 300 students from grades 6 through 12. The Executive Chef will take full ownership of all culinary operations within this vibrant school community, ensuring the delivery of nutritious, tasty, and visually appealing meals that align with both the school’s mission and Flik’s high standards. This role demands hands-on participation, including menu planning, recipe development, food preparation, and service execution, with a strong commitment to food safety, quality, and innovation.

As Executive Chef, you will lead and mentor a skilled culinary team, driving a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous learning within a high-volume, dynamic environment. Financial stewardship is critical, as you will manage food and labor costs, maintain budgetary control, and build efficient vendor relationships to maintain inventory and kitchen supply levels. You will also ensure all kitchen operations meet rigorous sanitation, allergy, and HACCP standards.

This role requires collaboration with marketing and culinary teams to launch seasonal menus and promotional programs that enhance the dining experience. Additionally, you will support special events and catering functions, ensuring flawless execution and high-quality food service during these occasions. Operational oversight includes supervising the back-of-house to sustain organization, cleanliness, and compliance with all applicable regulations. Partnering closely with the Director of Dining, you will also engage in performance management and conduct annual evaluations to foster team development and high performance.

Flik offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $105,000 for this position. Job Requirements
