Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to an associate's degree in culinary arts or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in culinary leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience with scratch cooking and food service management
  • Ability to manage multiple school sites and lead diverse teams
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Capability to work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of culinary/kitchen leadership, preferably in large-scale or institutional settings
  • Strong knowledge of scratch cooking, food cost controls, and high-volume service
  • Business-minded with a focus on driving participation and operational improvements
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Champion Chartwells K12's culinary standards and brand across multiple school sites
  • Support and improve scratch cooking practices, food quality, and menu execution
  • Coach teams to enhance kitchen operations and student dining experiences
  • Oversee food safety, sanitation, inventory, and compliance standards
  • Lead culinary training, development, and operational consistency
