The Executive Chef role at Hilton Austin presents a tremendous opportunity to join a dynamic culinary team within an award-winning hotel. This full-time position is designed for a visionary culinary leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences and fostering a strong team environment. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations throughout the hotel, including supervising food preparation, ensuring outstanding food quality and presentation, and maintaining compliance with the highest safety and sanitation standards. The role requires a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, especially one accustomed to upscale hotels, specialty restaurants, and banquets.
The ideal candidate will bring between three to five years of Executive Chef experience and demonstrate a proven track record of success in managing culinary teams, creating innovative menus that reflect current food trends and local Austin flavors, and driving overall profitability through effective cost controls and staff management. This executive role includes interacting closely with guests and clients to ensure satisfaction and continually improve culinary offerings based on feedback. Additionally, the Executive Chef will handle general management tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, department reporting, and participation in leadership meetings.

Job Requirements
- Relevant culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years Executive Chef experience
- Background in upscale hotel or restaurant culinary operations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years experience as an Executive Chef
- Proven leadership in upscale hotels or specialty restaurants
- Experience managing high-volume banquets
- Strong culinary and menu development skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to manage budgets and food cost controls
Job Duties
- Direct and oversee all culinary operations including meal production, food quality, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Create and implement innovative menus reflecting current trends and regional tastes
- Monitor guest and client satisfaction and implement improvements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the culinary department
