Job Requirements
- Must have degree from a post-secondary culinary arts school preferred or required
- Minimum of 5 years as a sous chef plus 3 years in another food preparation position preferred or required
- Must have proven performance in implementing and maintaining food production operational standards
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must obtain a food handlers certificate from county health department
- Must pass Missouri gaming license application process
- Must present a neat and professional appearance
- Must work well with others including cooks, bartenders, servers, supervisors
- Must possess basic reading, writing and mathematical skills for recipe calculations and kitchen safety
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to handle intoxicated guests professionally and according to policy
- Must meet attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental and company policies
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervises all kitchen staff activities including scheduling and inventory management
- Completes necessary paperwork to maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Interviews, selects, and trains employees
- Conducts performance reviews and recommends wage increases and promotions
- Handles employee complaints and recommends discipline
- Produces food for the restaurant and casino events
- Ensures food is nutritious, safe, eye appealing, and properly flavored
- Plans menus and maintains payroll and food cost records
- Trains employees in cooking methods, portion control, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Enforces appearance and uniform guidelines
- Leads team with positive and supportive environment
- Administers performance expectations and operational support
- Champions commitment to honesty, integrity, and compliance with company policies and regulations
