Job Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in general culinary or healthcare foodservice management
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative, and team oriented culture
  • Ability to develop methodologies for collecting and analyzing relevant data
  • Ability to audit program processes, monitor quality, identify problems and root causes, and make recommendations
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication, and computer skills
  • A personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring
  • Ability to be a self-starter and independent worker
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively and follow up to ensure objectives are met

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited culinary institution program or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in general culinary or healthcare foodservice management
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse, collaborative environments
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards such as HACCP and THS
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects
  • Commitment to integrity, honesty, and promoting Trinity Health mission and values

Job Duties

  • Oversees the day-to-day management of culinary and sanitation activities for the Food & Nutrition Services department
  • Trains, develops, and supervises kitchen staff to drive culinary excellence
  • Coordinates food production ensuring quality, preparation, and presentation follow Trinity Health standards
  • Collaborates with clinical dietitians to optimize patient care and co-develop wellness initiatives
  • Participates in budget reviews and manages program costs and productivity
  • Develops and implements quality improvement programs and processes
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory, food safety, sanitation, and cash handling policies
