Job Requirements

  • Post high school education of more than two years but less than a four-year degree
  • Five to ten years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of food and beverage management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Moderate hearing ability
  • Excellent vision
  • Strong comprehension and literacy to fulfill budgetary responsibilities
  • Ability to lift 30-35 pounds multiple times per shift
  • Full mobility to inspect and monitor kitchen environment
  • Ability to continuously stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions from -10 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Job Qualifications

  • More than two years of post high school education but less than a four-year college degree
  • Five to ten years of experience in a related position
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Moderate hearing and excellent vision for safety
  • Excellent comprehension and literacy for budgeting and reporting

Job Duties

  • Plan and manage the kitchen staff in procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food
  • Recommend menu and procedural changes
  • Manage and control food and labor costs within approved budget constraints
  • Perform all essential functions adhering to SOPs to ensure consistent quality product
  • Hire, train, develop, coach and counsel kitchen staff
  • Monitor and control sanitation and maintenance of kitchen and equipment
  • Develop and manage department budget and cost control measures
  • Implement menus and backup plans to improve revenues and profit margins
  • Promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and expenses
