We are currently seeking an Executive Chef to join the Conrad Indianapolis team, a position that offers a unique opportunity to play a major role in shaping the culinary future of this esteemed property. The Executive Chef will lead all culinary operations, elevating the food and beverage offerings through innovative menu creation and flawless execution. The position involves strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and managing departmental systems to deliver outstanding guest experiences and operational efficiency. From recruitment and training to scheduling and performance reviews, the Executive Chef will foster a collaborative and motivated kitchen team. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior culinary leadership role
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with culinary and inventory management software
- Commitment to upholding Hilton's core values including hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a sense of urgency
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in executive culinary leadership roles
- Strong understanding of food trends and menu development
- Excellent knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food service regulations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Experience in budget management and financial forecasting
- Exceptional communication and guest service skills
- Culinary degree or relevant professional certification preferred
Job Duties
- Direct and oversee all culinary operations including meal production, food quality and presentation, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Create and implement innovative menus based on current food trends and regional tastes
- Monitor guest satisfaction by interacting with guests and addressing concerns to improve dining experiences
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
- Manage budget, forecasting, reporting, and department systems to optimize profitability
- Develop and monitor team member performance through training, scheduling, evaluations, and recognition
- Recruit, interview, and train new culinary team members
