Job Requirements
- Ability to work from standing position for extended periods
- Ability to perform reaching, stooping, and crouching motions repeatedly
- Dexterity in hands and fingers to manipulate tools effectively

- Must wear closed toe, non-canvas, and non-skid soled shoes
- Proven culinary experience with at least 5 years in high-volume cooking
- Minimum 3 years as Executive Chef in hotel or fine dining
- Strong communication and leadership ability
- Basic proficiency in reading, writing, math, and computers
- Must be organized and able to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and events simultaneously
- Professional grooming and appearance
- Exceptional customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Proven record of culinary accomplishments and recognitions
- Basic reading, writing, mathematical, and computer skills
- At least 5 years of high-volume cooking experience with extensive fine dining knowledge
- At least 3 years experience as an Executive Chef in a hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Leadership, training, and staff motivation skills
- Even-tempered with a reputation for consistency and fairness
- Organized and able to meet deadlines
- Good judgment of people and situations
- Ability to handle many details and a heavy volume of events
- Neat, well-groomed, and highly professional appearance
- Exceptional guest and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Review and approve recipe files and follow up with culinary staff to improve cuisine
- Use high-quality food items prepared creatively, presented well, and flavorful in a cost-effective manner
- Review and approve food orders from the central commissary as needed
- Frequently review finished products for quality before leaving the kitchen
- Ensure overall cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the kitchen
- Maintain kitchen equipment according to health and company standards
- Troubleshoot unexpected situations in the kitchen
- Oversee proper disposal of kitchen waste
- Manage creation of menus, production, and ordering for special events
- Price menus, catering, and seasonal items following cost control guidelines
- Develop and approve seasonal specials and pastry items
- Schedule and conduct product taste panels with Food and Beverage Management
- Participate in culinary events and competitions
- Ensure food costs meet budget goals through purchasing specifications and waste control
- Discuss daily food cost reports with kitchen and F and B staff
- Code invoices and update prices weekly
- Monitor kitchen payroll according to forecasts and budgets
- Interview, hire, and adjust kitchen staff as needed
- Review weekly schedules to meet forecasts and budgets
- Train, develop, and motivate culinary staff to meet food preparation standards
- Provide a positive work environment and counsel employees
- Delegate responsibilities to develop supervisors and subordinates
- Display loyalty, dedication, confidentiality, and cooperation with management
- Maintain professional grooming and wear uniform as required
