Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Significant culinary experience ideally in a hospitality or hotel environment
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse culinary team
- Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as an executive chef or in a senior culinary leadership role
- Strong culinary knowledge and expertise in menu development and food trends
- Experience managing large food and beverage operations in a hotel or resort setting
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
Job Duties
- Direct and oversee all culinary operations including meal production, food quality, safety compliance, team productivity, policy implementation, cost controls and profitability
- Create and implement new menus and individual items in partnership with the Director of Food and Beverage
- Interact with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction, address issues and improve services
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol regulations
- Perform management duties including system management, budgeting, reporting, and department administration
- Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, training, scheduling, and evaluations
- Recruit, interview and train new culinary staff
