Job Requirements
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multitasking

- mastery of food preparation and quality control
- ability to suggest new recipes using culinary expertise
- skill in baking pastries with various techniques

- experience with inventory control and coordination with purchasing

Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in culinary arts or comparable experience
- 5+ years experience as a chef in a full-service restaurant
- 2+ years experience in a supervisory role
- ServSafe certification
- strong business acumen and leadership experience
- ability to lead through influence in a collaborative environment
- demonstrated communication skills at multiple organizational levels
- ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Job Duties
- Act as a leadership role model by demonstrating company values
- participate in recruiting non-exempt staff and assist with interviews and drug screenings
- manage recipe development, kitchen organization, and large-scale production including pastry creation
- train and coach staff, communicate job expectations, and schedule shifts
- appraise and review employee performance while enforcing policies
- contribute to strategic plans and operational improvements
- forecast food costs, control inventory, minimize waste, and ensure high quality of preparation
