Job Requirements

  • minimum education requirement - bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum management experience - 3 years
  • minimum functional experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • ability to motivate, coach and develop staff
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • familiarity with automated food inventory and management systems

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 3 years management experience
  • minimum 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • strong coaching and employee development skills
  • ability to maintain highest culinary standards
  • passion for food and innovation
  • previous experience in a K-12 environment preferred

Job Duties

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production
  • oversee the PrimeroEdge food management system for multiple units
  • menu development
  • ensure Sodexo and USDA culinary standards including recipe compliance are food quality are implemented and maintained
  • oversee catering functions within Waco ISD and Sodexo’s neighboring K-12 accounts
  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline staff
  • provide stellar customer/client service
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
