Job Description
Sodexo is a global leader in quality of life services, dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals, communities, and organizations worldwide. With a comprehensive portfolio spanning food services, facilities management, and integrated solutions, Sodexo operates in a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, corporate services, and government. The company places a strong emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities, fostering an environment where all employees are valued and respected for their unique contributions. At Sodexo, the mission is to create a better everyday for everyone by partnering closely with clients to deliver memorable experiences and support sustainable development in the communities where it operates.
Sodexo's campus services division focuses on elevating student life by providing exceptional dining experiences, nutrition programs, and facility management on college campuses. The company partners with institutions like LeTourneau University in Longview, TX, to deliver innovative culinary and catering services that contribute to a healthy, enjoyable living and learning environment. Working in such a dynamic educational setting allows Sodexo employees to positively impact college students' well-being through quality food and wellness initiatives.
The Executive Chef 2 role at LeTourneau University is a leadership position tasked with managing culinary operations with a strong focus on residential dining and catering services. This position requires strategic oversight of purchasing, menu compliance, inventory management, food cost analysis, and production forecasting. The role demands adherence to Sodexo’s culinary standards, ensuring recipe fidelity and high-quality food offerings at all times. A key responsibility is to foster a culture of culinary innovation and excellence by coaching and motivating team members while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation protocols.
Additionally, the Executive Chef 2 must be proficient in automated systems for inventory, ordering, and production management, which streamlines operations and supports data-driven decision-making. Sodexo offers this position a competitive salary that reflects the candidate’s education, experience, and skills, with relocation assistance available. Employees at Sodexo benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care programs, along with wellness initiatives and a 401(k) plan that includes employer matching contributions. Paid time off, company holidays, career growth opportunities, and tuition reimbursement further enhance the employment package.
This role calls for a culinary professional with a strong background in food service and a passion for innovation. Leadership, communication, and employee development skills are essential to create and sustain high culinary standards. The Executive Chef 2 not only leads daily operations but also serves as a culinary ambassador, ensuring that Sodexo’s values — including respect, equity, and inclusivity — are upheld within the team and campus community. This opportunity provides a rewarding career path where culinary expertise meets a commitment to quality of life and community impact, making it ideal for individuals eager to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference through food.
