With a strong commitment to enhancing the everyday experiences of their clients and employees, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to deliver tailored solutions that support health, wellness, and operational excellence. Their approach combines strategic insight with operational expertise, making them a trusted partner in sectors that demand the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Sodexo Government Services is proud to support the United States Air Force by providing exceptional dining services at Dyess Air Force Base, located near Abilene, Texas. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations and ensure the delivery of nutritious and creative meal options to airmen, their families, and base civilians. This role is essential in upholding Sodexo's commitment to quality while supporting the morale and well-being of military personnel. The position offers a competitive compensation package, with salary offers based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and training. Additionally, Sodexo offers relocation assistance to support qualified candidates in transitioning to this important role.
The Executive Chef 2 at Dyess Air Force Base will be responsible for overseeing both a dining facility and a flight line kiosk operation, which collectively serve approximately 5,500 meals per week across four daily meal periods. This high-volume environment demands exceptional leadership and organizational skills to maintain top-tier food quality, safety standards, and customer service. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Executive Chef 2 will manage a dedicated team comprising both subcontractor cooks and Airmen. This leadership role requires expertise in production planning, food costing and controls, culinary standards compliance, and staff development.
In this role, the Executive Chef 2 will take charge of daily food production, ensuring that all culinary operations meet Sodexo Culinary Standards and adhere to recipe compliance. The position requires a hands-on approach to maintaining high expectations for food quality and customer satisfaction while efficiently managing costs and operational compliance. One critical aspect of this job is the development and training of Airmen within the culinary team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth. With an emphasis on food safety and sanitation, the Executive Chef 2 must also ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies, including the requirement for ServSafe certification.
Working at Sodexo offers more than just a job; it provides a career path with opportunities for growth, tuition reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees' health and wellness.
