Job Description
Sodexo Government Services is a leading provider of integrated food services and facilities management, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the clients and communities they serve. With a strong commitment to partnership and innovation, Sodexo collaborates closely with government agencies and military organizations to deliver comprehensive solutions that span dining, nutrition, rehabilitative services, and facilities maintenance. Sodexo’s mission is to create a better everyday experience for people through dedicated service and operational excellence.
As a prominent player in the hospitality and service industry, Sodexo is proud to continue its support for the United States Air Force by providing high-quality dining services at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas. In line with this commitment, Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at this pivotal installation. This role is essential to maintaining the base’s dining facility standards, ensuring a diverse and creative menu offering to airmen, their families, and base civilians.
The Executive Chef 2 at Dyess Air Force Base will be entrusted with the oversight of a busy Air Force dining facility and flight line kiosk operations, managing the production and service of approximately 5500 meals weekly across four meals per day. This role not only demands culinary expertise but also leadership skills to manage a team comprising both subcontractor cooks and Airmen, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes quality and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Executive Chef 2 will play a key role in upholding Sodexo’s culinary standards, enforcing recipe compliance, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service delivery.
In this position, effective management of food costs, production planning, and stringent adherence to food safety and sanitation standards are paramount. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to inspire and train Airmen, promoting career development and efficiency in food service operations. Sodexo seeks a culinary professional who is passionate about providing excellence in every meal, with a focus on innovation, service, and operational integrity. Compensation for this role is fair and equitable, tailored according to the candidate’s experience, education, and expertise.
The company offers a well-rounded benefits package designed to support the health, financial security, and professional growth of its employees. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision care options, wellness programs, 401(k) plans with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, and opportunities for career advancement and tuition reimbursement. New hires will receive comprehensive information about the benefits package upon hiring.
Sodexo’s core values emphasize respect, diversity, and inclusion, fostering a workplace environment where every employee is valued and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives. The company is committed to equal employment opportunities, ensuring fair treatment and respect regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or other protected characteristics. Sodexo welcomes applicants who share its commitment to quality service, community impact, and employee well-being.
