This specific role is for the position of Executive Chef 3 located in Miami, Florida, supporting Sodexo’s Health Care accounts at Jackson Memorial Hospital, a prominent 1550-bed facility. The Executive Chef will play a pivotal role in providing culinary leadership across multiple patient and retail food services including Expressly For You (EFY) and At Your Request (AYR) patient meal programs, a newly renovated cafeteria, coffee shop, catering operations, and a Doctor’s Lounge. This role requires a passionate culinary expert with demonstrated skills in managing high-volume food production tailored to hospital standards. The Executive Chef will oversee daily food production, including menu development, inventory management, recipe compliance, and food costing control. With a focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and innovation, the chef is expected to lead a team of approximately 25 front-line employees, fostering a culture centered on high standards and continuous improvement.
In addition to culinary management, the Executive Chef will implement Sodexo's established culinary and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and regulatory requirements. Candidates should be knowledgeable in managing special dietary needs and allergens, with a preference for familiarity with Sodexo’s Food Management System (FMS) and Market Connection tools. This position offers a fair and equitable compensation package reflective of experience, education, and skills, alongside comprehensive company benefits such as medical, dental, vision care, wellness programs, 401(k) plans with matching contributions, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement opportunities.
Candidates joining Sodexo will enter a company that values respect, inclusivity, and employee well-being. Diversity and equal opportunity are foundational principles, promoting a workplace where everyone has the chance to succeed and express themselves authentically. Sodexo’s culture encourages innovative thinking, leadership development, and career growth, aligning with its goal to deliver superior hospitality and support services in the healthcare setting. The Executive Chef 3 position therefore offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals seeking to apply their skills in a challenging, supportive, and rewarding healthcare environment.
