Job Description
Rooted Hospitality Group (RHG) is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to creating a brighter world by enriching people’s lives through genuine hospitality, exceptional products, and servant leadership. This dynamic and growth-driven company is deeply committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning, making it a coveted employer in the hospitality industry. RHG focuses on delivering memorable experiences not only to their guests but also to their team members by providing a supportive and empowering work environment. With a passion for high-quality service and culinary excellence, RHG is making significant strides in redefining hospitality standards across their various venues and operations.
As a Chef with Rooted Hospitality Group, you will play a pivotal role in leading kitchen operations with integrity and creativity. This position emphasizes leadership, innovation, and operational excellence, making it ideal for seasoned culinary professionals eager to make a transformative impact. In this role, you will be responsible for not only driving the team towards culinary success but also ensuring that every dish served is an unforgettable experience that aligns with the company’s commitment to quality and hospitality. You will be a student of the business, staying current with market trends and building strong relationships with suppliers while benchmarking your operation against top local competitors. Maintaining high standards of sanitation and health compliance including OSHA logs, temperature monitoring, ServSafe certifications, and health department requirements will be crucial.
The role extends beyond kitchen management to leadership. You will oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory control to maintain the highest product quality. Consistency in recipe execution and operational standards will be upheld through rigorous training and accountability measures. The kitchen environment you manage will be impeccably clean, organized, and efficient, meeting all operational standards. Additionally, the financial health of the kitchen will be a priority with daily profit-tracking tools to monitor efficiency and productivity. Financial acumen will be necessary to communicate budget goals and bridge the gap between budget projections and actual performance.
Team development is another cornerstone of this role. You will foster a culture of empowerment, confidence, and friendliness, developing your team members by nurturing individual strengths and conducting fair performance evaluations. Addressing performance challenges and rewarding excellence will be part of your leadership approach. Encouraging a culture that welcomes positive change and challenges the status quo will help maintain RHG’s culture of excellence and accountability. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a kitchen where passion meets purpose, with the potential for career growth and continuous development within a celebrated hospitality group.
