These establishments are committed to fostering a compassionate and nurturing environment where residents feel valued and supported. The Huntington at Nashua is one of the flagship communities within this network, renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and focus on high-quality resident experiences. Silverstone Living operates with a mission to enhance the quality of life for seniors and other community members through dedicated support, innovative programs, and compassionate care. The organization maintains a strong commitment to equal opportunity employment, valuing diversity and inclusivity in all workplace practices.
The Huntington at Nashua is currently seeking an Executive Chef—a rare and exciting opportunity made available by the retirement of the current Executive Chef. This role is ideal for a culinary professional with a creative vision who loves crafting meals from scratch while balancing a healthy work-life schedule without late nights. The Executive Chef will play a pivotal role in leading the culinary department, which operates like a family unit focused on delivering nutritious, seasonal, and memorable meals to residents.
As the Executive Chef, you will design inventive menus that highlight quality, presentation, and flavor, aiming to maximize resident satisfaction. You will also be responsible for training, mentoring, and inspiring a dedicated culinary team to uphold impeccable standards in food quality, sanitation, safety, and regulatory compliance. Your oversight will extend over all food production, including special events, themed meals, and catering to special nutritional needs.
The position requires active engagement with residents to gather feedback and ensure a warm, welcoming dining experience that exceeds expectations. You will manage food and labor costs, maintain inventory controls, and nurture relationships with vendors to support the culinary department's success. The role demands a hands-on leader who can effectively manage staff, resources, and operations to maximize efficiency and deliver outstanding dining services.
This is not just a leadership role but a creative opportunity to influence culinary offerings in a senior living environment that prioritizes wellness and community. You'll benefit from working in a supportive atmosphere where employee recognition, education assistance, and comprehensive health benefits with a minimum of 30 hours per week are provided. Additionally, the generous earned time program and other supportive initiatives contribute to a balanced and rewarding career at The Huntington at Nashua. The role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and professional growth in a respected non-profit organization.
