The culinary operations at this hotel play a vital role in enhancing the overall guest experience by ensuring that food quality, presentation, and service meet the highest standards.

StepStone Hospitality is seeking a passionate, creative, and results-driven Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at the DoubleTree by Hilton Portland, Maine. This role requires a dynamic culinary leader who can oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including restaurant, banquet, catering, and room service functions. They will also oversee purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with health department regulations, food safety standards, and OSHA guidelines. The position involves close collaboration with hotel leadership on banquet planning, special events, and initiatives designed to enhance the guest experience. Maintaining kitchen equipment and a clean, efficient work environment are also critical responsibilities.

This role demands strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Candidates must be ready to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if needed, and uphold a positive, professional workplace culture focused on teamwork and development. Food Safety Certification is required, and while Hilton brand experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. StepStone Hospitality offers a competitive salary along with bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Executive Chef to advance their career within a reputable hospitality management company that values innovation, quality, and employee growth.
