Job Description
Maggiano's Little Italy, located in Durham, North Carolina, is a renowned casual dining restaurant under the umbrella of Brinker International, a major player in the restaurant industry known for its commitment to quality food, excellent service, and memorable dining experiences. Brinker International revolutionized the dining landscape by pioneering the concept of "casual dining," bridging the gap between fast food and upscale restaurants. Since opening its doors in 1991, Maggiano's has become synonymous with authentic Italian-American cuisine, offering a warm, inviting atmosphere and a menu full of traditional Italian dishes that remind guests of family gatherings and home-cooked meals.
Our Durham location is a spacious 15,000-plus square foot restaurant where the energy is high and the atmosphere bustling, much like a big family reunion, where every team member plays an essential role in creating memorable experiences for guests. Our leadership team, including General Managers, Executive Chefs, and Banquet Sales Managers, are exceptional professionals who lead by example and inspire their teams to deliver top-notch guest service. Working at Maggiano’s is not an easy task — it requires multi-tasking skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for hospitality. We cherish those who thrive in a fast-paced environment, who can think and act quickly, and who are passionate about maintaining high standards while ensuring guests feel like part of the family.
This role invites someone who loves people, values teamwork, and embraces the vibrant, dynamic pace of a busy restaurant environment. Whether it's managing a large banquet or overseeing everyday operations, the General Manager and management teams play a critical role in driving the business forward while maintaining excellent guest satisfaction. The position is full-time and offers a highly competitive salary positioned in the top 25 percent of the industry, reflecting the skill and dedication required for the role.
Joining Maggiano’s means becoming part of a culture that values hard work and play equally. We recognize and reward our employees generously with medical, dental, vision, and life insurance starting just 31 days from hire, including benefits for domestic partners. Employees are eligible for quarterly bonuses with the potential to earn up to 175 percent of the plan, flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, and market-leading 401(k) savings plans with company matching. We also offer programs like the Managing Partner Program for our top-performing General Managers, a Long Term Incentive Program with substantial bonuses, and the Brinker 5 Star Challenge rewarding the top 5 percent of managers and chefs. Additional perks include annual restricted stock grants, fitness reimbursement, and dining discounts at Brinker-owned brands.
Maggiano's isn't just about food and business—it’s about being part of a community. We take pride in supporting charity efforts such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the North Texas Food Bank, and our internal Brinker Family Fund, which assists team members in times of need. Our mission is to bring people together to celebrate family and friends in a lively, authentic setting that reflects the spirit of Italian-American tradition. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity and e-Verify employer, committed to diversity, workplace happiness, and fostering a fun, engaging work environment. If you're looking to join a team that values authenticity, dedication, and genuine connection, Maggiano's Little Italy in Durham is the perfect place for you.
