Job Description
Spanish Hills Club, managed by Century Golf Partners Management, is a premier private club located in Camarillo, California. Known for its exceptional golf course, stunning views, and sophisticated ambiance, Spanish Hills Club offers a unique and refined experience to its members and guests. As part of the Century Golf Partners portfolio, the club operates with a commitment to excellence in both hospitality and operations, striving to provide an elevated member experience that balances luxury, comfort, and impeccable service standards.
The Executive Chef position at Spanish Hills Club represents a rare and exciting opportunity to lead the culinary program within a distinguished private club environment. This role demands a visionary and accomplished culinary leader to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure that both a la carte dining and high-volume banquet events are executed to the highest level. The Executive Chef will be responsible for shaping and elevating the club's culinary reputation by delivering innovative menus that reflect both seasonal ingredients and evolving food trends.
In this leadership role, the Executive Chef plays a vital part in managing the culinary team's talent development, fostering a collaborative kitchen culture, and maintaining rigorous standards around food quality, presentation, and safety. The position requires hands-on involvement in all aspects of culinary management, including budgeting, labor forecasting, purchasing, and vendor relations. This integrated responsibility ensures financial goals are met while also preserving exceptional dining experiences that consistently satisfy members and guests.
The Executive Chef will act as the culinary ambassador within the club, partnering with Food & Beverage leadership to align kitchen operations with overall service and profitability strategies. Creativity, operational discipline, financial savvy, and a passion for excellence are key characteristics sought for this position. The role offers an attractive salary range from $135,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience, along with a performance-based bonus opportunity.
Beyond competitive compensation, Spanish Hills Club provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company participation, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. The club also extends meals and access to club privileges as applicable, supporting a rewarding work environment that values its culinary leadership team.
For a culinary executive with experience in private clubs, resorts, or upscale hospitality settings, who thrives in managing both a la carte and banquet operations, this position is a remarkable chance to lead a dynamic culinary program. The ideal candidate will hold a culinary degree and preferably ACF Certified Executive Chef credentials, bring strong financial management skills, and demonstrate the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing culinary team. Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, enhancing communication within the diverse team and member base.
Spanish Hills Club fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, expecting its Executive Chef to command a strong professional presence, drive innovation, and deliver a consistent, memorable culinary experience. The work environment is fast-paced and demands flexibility with schedules that include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a demanding kitchen atmosphere is required.
Joining Spanish Hills Club means becoming part of a respected golf and hospitality operator, Century Golf Partners Management, and contributing to the ongoing success and distinction of a beautiful member-focused private club. This role combines creative freedom with operational leadership and access to a vibrant events business, offering a fulfilling and influential career path for the right culinary leader. If you are passionate about making an impact through exceptional culinary experiences, Spanish Hills Club invites you to apply and share your vision for excellence in private club dining.
