Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- strong leadership capability
- excellent communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to manage budgets and control costs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- proven leadership and team management skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to develop menus and control food costs
- experience with employee training and development
Job Duties
- Lead kitchen management team
- provide direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
- supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
- develop and implement guidelines and control procedures for purchasing and receiving areas
- establish and maintain goals including performance goals and budget goals
- ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- manage day-to-day operations ensuring quality, standards, and meeting customer expectations
