Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • strong leadership capability
  • excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage budgets and control costs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • proven leadership and team management skills
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to develop menus and control food costs
  • experience with employee training and development

Job Duties

  • Lead kitchen management team
  • provide direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
  • supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
  • develop and implement guidelines and control procedures for purchasing and receiving areas
  • establish and maintain goals including performance goals and budget goals
  • ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • manage day-to-day operations ensuring quality, standards, and meeting customer expectations
