Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience
  • three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications
  • ability to plan menus and manage kitchen staff
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to maintain inventory and comply with health regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience
  • three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet
  • extensive catering experience a plus
  • experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
  • trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment
  • ensures food safety and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards
  • establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
  • maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies within guidelines
  • complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
  • performs other duties as assigned
