Job Requirements
- minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an Executive Chef or 3-5 years as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef in an upscale casual or fine-dining environment
- culinary expertise in Mediterranean and Italian cuisines
- ability to recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
- strong knowledge of menu planning and pricing
- experience managing inventory, food and labor costs
- thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and health department codes
- excellent leadership and communication skills
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- direct the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of salads, soups, fish, meats, vegetables, desserts, or other foods
- plan and price menus
- supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
- demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff
- order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
- monitor and control food and labor costs to meet budget requirements
- inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards
- determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays
- maintain food production records, copies of recipes and menu compiles, and food wastage logs
- ensure all kitchen operations comply with local health department codes
