The Fast Track Chef role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for upholding and executing the company’s vision "To be the most loved and best run restaurant in North America." This position demands a seasoned culinary leader who inspires passion and enthusiasm within their teams. As the Chef/CDC, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure flawless standards in food quality and service, and lead by example with wisdom and experience that motivates team members to strive for excellence. You will be responsible for building strong kitchen teams through effective hiring, training, and development, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with financial goals.

As the Head Chef, your duties extend beyond kitchen management to include fostering leadership development among your staff, promoting career growth opportunities within the organization, and maintaining high standards across all service touchpoints. Your leadership will be the driving force behind operational excellence and guest satisfaction, combining culinary expertise with strong team management skills. The role offers a competitive annual salary of $80,000 to $90,000 plus monthly bonus incentives, along with a comprehensive benefits package including four weeks of paid vacation, healthcare coverage, and unique perks like travel opportunities and leadership development programs.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Direct the daily operation of the kitchen ensuring smooth delivery of the restaurant as part of building sales and hitting financial targets
  • Participate in all aspects of food delivery from the back to the guest's plate
  • Establish and maintain high standards of food quality and service excellence through teamwork motivation and strong leadership
  • Manage and lead kitchen teams including hiring payroll administration employee development scheduling performance evaluation discipline and termination
  • Participate in new employee orientations and provide on the job training to support staff performance
  • Develop management teams and prepare them for promotions within the company to nurture growth
  • Prepare rosters ensuring adequate staffing levels
  • Provide support to management team perform managerial duties and act as designate in the absence of the Chef
  • Develop and communicate a 16-week plan for the kitchen
  • Audit and influence productivity scheduling and labor costs for profit and loss statement
  • Conduct ongoing audits of the restaurant
  • Manage daily and weekly financial numbers using sales budgets profits and controllable costs making adjustments to ensure highest profitability
  • Educate management team on financials to promote understanding of profitability
