The Executive Chef position at The PM Lounge carries a significant leadership responsibility, overseeing the kitchen's operational functions and staff management with a strong emphasis on maintaining the high culinary standards associated with the club's brand. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Executive Chef plays a critical role in developing and implementing an operational strategy that aligns with both the culinary vision and financial targets of the organization. This role requires a thoughtful leader and confident decision-maker who can drive team productivity, foster talent development, and enhance profitability while ensuring an exceptional member experience from the kitchen area. The Executive Chef will prepare and serve a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, while being deeply knowledgeable about the menu offerings to personalize recommendations for members and service staff alike.

Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations, banquet and event catering management, financial and budgetary control in partnership with management, and establishing policies to maintain operational excellence. The role demands collaboration across food and beverage, events, and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery during both intimate member dinners and large-scale corporate or social events. Additionally, the Executive Chef is tasked with upholding the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations through rigorous enforcement of HACCP principles. Inventories and performance findings are monitored regularly, with reports and recommendations communicated effectively to the General Manager to ensure continuous process improvement.

Moreover, this role involves significant human resources responsibilities, including recruitment, staff training programs, performance evaluations, and employee development initiatives in partnership with HR. The Executive Chef is expected to coach, mentor, and recognize kitchen staff, fostering a work environment that values integrity, professionalism, and high performance. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in kitchen management or executive chef roles
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
  • High personal integrity and professionalism
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management and staff

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Expertise in diverse global cuisines
  • Valid ServSafe certification
  • Experience in high-end private clubs, luxury hotels, upscale restaurants, or high-volume event venues
  • Strong relationship management and performance management skills
  • Ability to motivate and direct staff effectively
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and questioning skills
  • Strong writing and documentation skills

Job Duties
