Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in kitchen management or executive chef roles
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
  • High personal integrity and professionalism
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management and staff

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Expertise in diverse global cuisines
  • Valid ServSafe certification
  • Experience in high-end private clubs, luxury hotels, upscale restaurants, or high-volume event venues
  • Strong relationship management and performance management skills
  • Ability to motivate and direct staff effectively
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and questioning skills
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Keen attention to detail and proven problem-solving abilities

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including banquet and event catering
  • Partner with the General Manager to maintain kitchen budgets
  • Design a strategy for the kitchen and set sales goals
  • Collaborate with food & beverage, events, and operations teams
  • Evaluate and improve kitchen operations and financial performance
  • Conduct daily briefings and report maintenance issues
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles
  • Conduct regular kitchen inventories and monitor food quality
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance reviews for kitchen staff
  • Create innovative seasonal menus and accommodate special dietary needs
  • Develop schedules to maximize kitchen efficiency
  • Perform line cook duties as needed
  • Attend staff meetings and support special projects
