The company culture emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement to maintain its esteemed reputation in the culinary industry. Dedicated to fostering a positive work environment, Tiny Boxwoods Productions offers career opportunities that challenge and empower employees to grow within a supportive and dynamic setting.
The role of Executive Chef at Tiny Boxwoods Productions is a critical leadership position charged with maintaining the highest standards of food quality and sanitation. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Executive Chef oversees the entire kitchen operation, including staff management, food purchasing, and training. This role demands an individual who can lead and motivate kitchen managers and staff, ensuring that all food preparation and kitchen safety procedures are strictly followed. The Executive Chef is responsible not only for day-to-day kitchen operations but also for long-term planning, including menu development, labor cost management, and compliance with company policies.
As an Executive Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Tiny's No. 5 restaurant by facilitating seamless food production and maintaining consistent quality control. You will supervise kitchen personnel across all shifts, ensuring efficient and productive work environments while enforcing compliance with Tiny Boxwoods Productions’ performance evaluation standards. Additional responsibilities include managing disciplinary actions, providing ongoing employees training, and fostering a culture that aligns with the company’s values.
The incumbent must excel in multitasking while maintaining attention to detail and consistency in food preparation. Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and a thorough understanding of kitchen terminology are essential. The Executive Chef must also be adaptable, working both morning and evening shifts as needed. Communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to coordinate effectively with staff and management.
Candidate suitability for this position requires culinary and management expertise, a Texas Food Manager certificate, and preferably a degree in culinary arts or equivalent work experience. The role offers salaried employment classification exempt from overtime. Working conditions involve active participation in a busy kitchen and restaurant environment, requiring physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds, alongside an awareness of safety hazards such as cuts and burns. This position offers a rewarding career path for culinary leaders seeking to advance in a professional and innovative hospitality company.
