Job Duties

  • Ensures staff are working efficiently and productively
  • supervises kitchen personnel, cooks, and dishwashers during shift
  • assists with employment and termination decisions
  • disciplines staff, providing verbal and written warnings
  • oversees and ensures employee performance evaluations are completed according to policy
  • provides constructive feedback and problem solving
  • trains new employees on company rules and kitchen safety
  • manages labor costs and schedules staff for anticipated business needs
  • completes all required daily paperwork including logs, reports, inventory, checklists, and schedules
  • orders and receives food products while following health and sanitation standards
  • monitors quality control and guest satisfaction
  • plans and directs all food production
  • operates commercial kitchen equipment
  • understands kitchen terminology
  • works both AM and PM shifts
  • responsible for menu updates approved by ownership
  • creates and maintains kitchen checklists
  • enforces company handbook standards
  • models company culture
  • completes HR paperwork promptly
  • attends management meetings
  • meets deadlines and completes assigned projects

  • performs other duties and special projects as assigned
