Job Duties
- Ensures staff are working efficiently and productively
- supervises kitchen personnel, cooks, and dishwashers during shift
- assists with employment and termination decisions
- disciplines staff, providing verbal and written warnings
- oversees and ensures employee performance evaluations are completed according to policy
- provides constructive feedback and problem solving
- trains new employees on company rules and kitchen safety
- manages labor costs and schedules staff for anticipated business needs
- completes all required daily paperwork including logs, reports, inventory, checklists, and schedules
- orders and receives food products while following health and sanitation standards
- monitors quality control and guest satisfaction
- plans and directs all food production
- operates commercial kitchen equipment
- understands kitchen terminology
- works both AM and PM shifts
- responsible for menu updates approved by ownership
- creates and maintains kitchen checklists
- enforces company handbook standards
- models company culture
- completes HR paperwork promptly
- attends management meetings
- meets deadlines and completes assigned projects
- demonstrates teamwork
- performs other duties and special projects as assigned
