Job Description

KBR Mission Technology Solutions is a global leader in delivering comprehensive professional and technical services that enhance operational readiness and foster innovation for key government agencies, including the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, NASA, and other federal entities. The company specializes in engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT, and cybersecurity, with a reputation for driving impactful solutions across land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace domains. KBR is dedicated to building a safer, more secure, and sustainable world by assembling top talent to achieve mission-critical objectives and deliver cutting-edge technologies and services.

This particular role of Executive Chef is an integral position within KBR's NSS Intel division, located at an overseas (OCONUS) site requiring 100% onsite presence. The Executive Chef will play a crucial role in managing all culinary operations to support the mission by providing high-quality, nutritious, and timely meals in a large-scale food service environment. This professional will be responsible for hands-on food preparation, menu development, kitchen organization, and compliance with health and safety standards. The Executive Chef is expected to lead and mentor kitchen staff while ensuring efficient operations that meet demanding quality and service benchmarks. Working in a fast-paced, challenging setting, this role demands a passionate and experienced culinary expert who thrives on delivering exceptional dining experiences under operational constraints.

Beyond cooking and kitchen oversight, the Executive Chef will govern inventory control, maintain sanitation protocols, and uphold Serve-Safe standards integral to food safety and customer satisfaction. This contingent role, contingent upon contract award, requires an active SECRET security clearance with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information level with polygraph. Candidates must possess extensive food service expertise—ideally with at least 13 years in the food service industry and 7 years in an executive culinary leadership capacity. The position offers a unique opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about leveraging their skills in support of mission-critical government operations abroad, contributing directly to workforce well-being and operational excellence. KBR fosters an inclusive, people-first culture that emphasizes zero harm and continuous growth, ensuring that valued employees belong, connect, and thrive.
