Job Requirements

  • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the USA
  • 5-7 years experience as Executive Chef in a hotel is highly preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Food Service Handler Card and TIPS certification valid for at least 6 months
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and basic knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact positively with guests during service
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and liquor laws compliance

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Train, train, train to build and maintain a talented team prepared for all service demands
  • Communicate clearly with team members and management to ensure smooth operational flow
  • Interact directly with guests, handling issues and enhancing their experience on the floor
  • Provide daily leadership that keeps the team energized, focused, and on track
  • Manage time and organizational priorities balancing training, guest service, and business needs
  • Complete staffing schedules balancing business and labor profit
  • Monitor inventory controls, P&L knowledge, and minimize waste
  • Enforce uniform and grooming standards, ensure compliance with Virgin standards and protocols
  • Oversee onboarding and consistent training of new team members with regular evaluations
  • Adhere to hiring and disciplinary protocols and ensure certifications like TIPS and Food Handlers Cards are valid
  • Comply with all safety, health, and liquor laws as required
