Founded in 1978 by P.C. Amin and B.N. Shah, the company has grown from a single acquisition of a bankrupt hotel in Lumberton, North Carolina, into a major player in the hospitality industry with a strong legacy of excellence and a commitment to outstanding guest service. Shamin Hotels prides itself not only on providing superior accommodations and services to travelers but also on fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive workplace where employees can thrive and grow in their careers. The company's culture centers around a philosophy they call TOPS, emphasizing teamwork, ownership, passionate service, and creating memorable experiences for guests.

As Shamin Hotels continues to expand its portfolio and influence in the hospitality sector, it seeks hardworking, passionate, and customer-oriented individuals to join their team. The role of Executive Chef at Shamin Hotels represents a critical leadership position, responsible for managing all-day operations of the hotel restaurants and kitchens. This role demands a culinary leader who can plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities, including menu creation that meets quality standards and guest expectations. The Executive Chef also plays a key role in budgeting and cost control by estimating food requirements and labor costs as well as ensuring all supplies necessary for kitchen operations are ordered, stocked, and properly stored.

Beyond kitchen management, the Executive Chef at Shamin Hotels takes charge of hiring and training kitchen staff, making sure each team member is equipped with the skills needed to produce high-quality culinary dishes. They assign duties, manage equipment purchases and repairs, and maintain a strong, visible presence both with guests and staff to inspire and uphold high standards of service and hospitality. The chef is integral in developing innovative marketing strategies to increase food and beverage revenue while consistently striving to exceed guest expectations through creative menu adaptations and responsive services such as event planning.

A strong commitment to guest satisfaction and employee development is essential for success in this position. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively with both guests and team members, fostering a positive atmosphere and motivating staff to perform at their best. The role also involves collaborating with various hotel departments to ensure a seamless Food and Beverage experience and conducting ongoing research to enhance food preparation techniques and presentation.

Shamin Hotels offers a competitive pay package along with amazing benefits including health, dental, vision, accident, and disability insurance, pet insurance, gym discounts, paid time off, paid holidays, 401K plan with company match, and exclusive employee discounts. With opportunities for growth and advancement within a highly respected hospitality company that values its employees, the Executive Chef position is ideal for culinary professionals seeking both challenges and career development in a supportive environment.
