Job Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience in full-service resorts, hotels, country clubs, or banquet settings
  • ServSafe manager certification strongly preferred
  • strong leadership, communication, and training skills
  • proven knowledge of FDA food safety standards and kitchen best practices
  • ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required
  • ability to perform job functions with or without accommodation
  • ability to live and work onboard a vessel for extended periods
  • ability to work 7 days per week while onboard
  • ability to work around 12 hours per day
  • ability to stand for entire shift
  • ability to lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • ability to frequently bend, squat, and reach
  • ability to use stairs frequently
  • ability to assist in emergencies by climbing ladders and passing through small hatches

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Leading all meal preparation for both guests and crew onboard
  • executing regionally inspired menus using fresh, local ingredients
  • coaching and managing a galley team of 6-10 in a hands-on environment
  • ensuring kitchen operations meet FDA, sanitation, and safety standards
  • overseeing food inventory, portion control, and waste reduction
  • adapting quickly to last-minute changes while maintaining a calm, can-do approach
  • providing an unforgettable dining experience for every guest
