Highgate Hotels is a leading real estate investment and hospitality management company widely recognized as an innovator in the hospitality industry. The company is a dominant player in major U.S. gateway cities including New York, Boston, Miami, San Francisco, and Honolulu, with a growing presence in the Caribbean and Latin America. Highgate combines expert guidance across all stages of the property lifecycle — from planning and development to recapitalization or disposition — with a proven track record of developing a diverse portfolio of bespoke lifestyle hotel brands, legacy brands, and independent hotels and resorts. The company excels in implementing contemporary programming and leveraging digital technology to enhance guest experiences. Utilizing industry-leading revenue management tools, Highgate efficiently identifies and predicts evolving market dynamics to drive outperformance and maximize asset value. Its executive team includes some of the most experienced hotel management leaders, making it a trusted partner for top ownership groups and major hotel brands. Highgate maintains corporate offices in New York, Chicago, Dallas, London, Miami, and Seattle, reinforcing its commitment to nationwide and international hospitality excellence.
This role is a full-time position within Highgate Hotels' vibrant food and beverage department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating a culture of service excellence, attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent to meet the dynamic needs of the department. Adaptability is key, as food and beverage demands can change rapidly, requiring a hands-on leader comfortable with training and guiding a diverse team. Responsibilities include overseeing all departmental expenses, including labor costs, to ensure profitability and return on investment for hotel owners. The role involves direct participation in food preparation activities such as operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, as well as delegating and assisting with ingredient preparation, including portioning, chopping, and storing food items. Maintaining a high standard of food quality and presentation according to established recipes and standards is essential. The candidate will also ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen environment, including tools and equipment. This position demands a decisive, inspiring leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and possesses strong problem-solving skills. A passion for food and beverage, alongside the ability to motivate and support a team, will drive success in this role. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401K plan, paid time off, free meals during work, discounted room benefits, and free parking, making this an attractive career opportunity for dedicated professionals looking to grow with a leader in hospitality management.
