Job Description

Tagliata, part of the renowned Atlas Restaurant Group, is more than just a dining establishment—it is a culinary destination rooted deeply in Italian tradition while embracing modern precision and innovation. Tagliata doesn’t simply serve food; it curates memorable experiences where each dish tells a story and every detail reflects intention and passion. Located in a vibrant and dynamic dining scene, Tagliata has built a reputation for excellence in fine dining, offering guests not only exceptional flavors but also an atmosphere charged with energy and authenticity. The restaurant values creativity balanced with consistency, ensuring that every plate meets the highest standards. At the core of Tagliata is a team-oriented culture that believes the kitchen is where tradition meets contemporary artistry and where the culture of hospitality thrives.

The Executive Chef role at Tagliata is a pivotal leadership position designed for a culinary professional who thrives in a high-performance, fine dining environment. This hands-on leadership role demands a chef who operates with precision and passion while embodying a strong presence within the kitchen. The Executive Chef will lead the culinary team to uphold and exceed the elevated standards associated with the Tagliata brand. This encompasses not only the creative development of the menu with a focus on seasonal and cost-effective innovation but also managing the execution of dishes, ensuring consistency in presentation, flavor, and timing. The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall culinary excellence, including food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization.

Beyond culinary expertise, the Executive Chef is tasked with recruiting, developing, and mentoring a high-performing kitchen team, fostering an inspiring culture grounded in teamwork, accountability, and constant improvement. Operational responsibilities include overseeing daily kitchen flow, managing inventory and ordering, coordinating equipment maintenance, and ensuring operational efficiency. The role also carries financial accountability for back-of-house performance, requiring a strong business acumen to manage labor costs, food expenses, and controllable overheads effectively. This leadership position supports the overall profitability and success of Tagliata by partnering with broader leadership to propose and implement strategies that enhance sales and operational performance.

The position offers an attractive annual salary range of $60,000 to $140,000, reflecting the scope of responsibility and the importance of the role within the organization. Moreover, Tagliata provides comprehensive benefits including paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k contributions, and company-paid life and AD&D insurance. Further benefits include learning and development programs, career mobility and advancement opportunities, pet insurance, and a generous discount at Atlas properties. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary leader who seeks a stage to showcase creativity, leadership, and the ability to build a compelling culinary culture in a fine dining setting. The Executive Chef at Tagliata will find themselves at the heart of a restaurant dedicated to defining hospitality standards, not chasing them, and will have the opportunity to shape the future of this exciting brand through innovation, team development, and a relentless commitment to quality.
