Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent culinary training preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive kitchen leadership experience
  • Hands-on culinary skills with the ability to work on the line
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage budgets, labor costs, and inventory effectively
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of experience in high-volume, fine dining kitchens
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within a culinary team preferred
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire diverse teams
  • Strong understanding of labor management, food cost controls, and kitchen operations
  • Creativity balanced with business acumen
  • Exceptional organization and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
  • A mindset grounded in accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

Job Duties

  • Lead the preparation and execution of all food with a relentless commitment to quality and consistency
  • Ensure all dishes meet Tagliata and Atlas standards in presentation, flavor, and timing
  • Drive innovation through seasonal menu development and creative, cost-effective features
  • Maintain excellence in food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing kitchen team
  • Train and mentor team members, building technical skill and leadership capability
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to performance standards
  • Foster a culture rooted in teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, flow, and execution
  • Monitor and manage inventory, ordering, and stock levels
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and ensure kitchen readiness at all times
  • Own and manage back-of-house financial performance
  • Drive results across labor, food cost, and controllable expenses
  • Deliver against monthly and annual budget targets
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to increase profitability and drive sales
