Job Description
Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a renowned, fast-growing, family-owned company operating over 60 independent senior living communities nationwide. RLC is dedicated to creating a unique, resort-style living environment for seniors, emphasizing a culture of respect, honesty, kindness, compassion, and service excellence. The company’s mission goes beyond simply providing housing; it’s about fostering a close-knit, servant-hearted community where employees and residents alike thrive. At RLC, success is guided by four essential goals: happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations. These principles ensure a harmonious, supportive environment conducive to outstanding quality of life and care. The leadership at RLC takes pride in offering a purpose-driven role where team members can make a meaningful difference every day, supported by a beautiful, resort-style atmosphere that enhances well-being and community connection.
We are currently seeking a purpose-driven Executive Chef to join our Independent Senior Living community, where the culinary and dining team is dedicated to preparing fresh, scratch-made meals paired with exceptional service. This highly hands-on position involves immersing oneself in all aspects of kitchen and dining operations — from initial food preparation to strategic dining planning. The Executive Chef will spearhead the Signature Freedom Dining program, a cornerstone initiative that delivers a luxury resort-style dining experience to residents. This program focuses on delicious meals, flexible dining options, and artful, beautiful presentation to enhance every resident's dining experience.
As the Executive Chef, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring that residents enjoy elevated, worry-free meal service daily, which significantly contributes to the community’s residents’ happiness and satisfaction. Your role extends beyond managing kitchen operations; it requires a genuine commitment to building warm, trusting relationships with residents. You will engage residents through monthly Chef chats, solicit feedback actively, and adapt menus to meet their preferences, creating a personalized dining environment. Moreover, you will oversee daily culinary operations, ensure the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene, and provide hands-on leadership that inspires your team to deliver excellence.
This role demands a seasoned culinary leader who demonstrates both technical skill and heartfelt dedication. Your expertise will be crucial in training, coaching, and developing the Culinary and Dining teams to maintain outstanding meal quality and service. Effective management of inventory, vendor relationships, and financial records through company tools is expected, alongside the creation and maintenance of efficient labor schedules. Flexibility is key, as the position requires a primary work schedule of Sunday through Thursday, with additional evening, weekend, and holiday support to maintain continuous exceptional service.
Our offer extends competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees, including access to pay anytime, a $341 benefit stipend per pay period for health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and other protections. Paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match are also included, demonstrating our commitment to the professional growth and personal well-being of our team members.
Joining RLC means becoming part of a supportive leadership team and a purpose-driven company culture where you can lead with heart and serve a vibrant senior community. If you are a skilled culinary professional with a servant’s heart, ready to embrace a role that feels like family, then this is the opportunity for you. Apply today and help us continue to create extraordinary dining experiences that enhance the lives of our residents every day.
