Job Description
This opportunity is with a remarkable upscale multi-unit restaurant chain known for its commitment to excellence in food quality and customer experience. The company operates high-volume, busy restaurant locations that emphasize a collaborative work culture and a passion for culinary creativity. Their outstanding reputation stems not only from the quality of their scratch menus but also from their dedication to fostering an exceptional work environment. Employees are valued as the company’s greatest asset, and this ethos is reflected in their supportive leadership, comprehensive benefits, and a culture that recognizes work-life balance. The hiring establishment encourages leadership qualities that extend beyond just operational efficiency to include empathy, mentorship, and collaborative teamwork.
The role being offered is for an Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager (EC/KM) to lead the Back of House operations at an 'A' location that boasts annual revenues exceeding $9 million, marking it as a high-volume venue. This role suits a culinary professional who is passionate about food and excellence, capable of executing extensive scratch menus with flair and precision. Candidates are expected to be hands-on leaders who enjoy working closely alongside their team while also being strategic thinkers that can oversee the broader picture of operation standards and quality assurance. The ideal candidate is empathetic and leads by example, embracing the fast-paced environment to drive both kitchen performance and team development.
The position offers a highly competitive salary positioned at the top of the pay scale for the industry, reflective of the significant responsibilities and dynamic nature of the role. The company provides an excellent individual and family benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, highlighting their commitment to employee well-being. Additionally, there is a motivating bonus plan designed to be attainable and fair; bonuses are awarded not only based on sales growth but also on factors such as people and culture, safety and security, execution excellence, and ethics and integrity. This holistic approach rewards a well-rounded leadership style.
A key advantage of joining this team is the considerable support structure, including collaboration with an outstanding General Manager and an executive leadership team that values and supports the BOH operations. The company highly values training and mentoring, fostering an environment where the EC/KM can thrive as a leader who nurtures their team’s talents and promotes continuous professional growth. This role includes full relocation assistance if necessary, enabling interested candidates to transition smoothly.
Overall, this role is perfect for an experienced kitchen leader who thrives in a high-volume setting, loves the art of scratch cooking, and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and operational excellence. The company’s culture of respect, support, and recognition creates a rewarding and fulfilling workplace for individuals passionate about culinary arts and leadership in the hospitality industry.
