This company has been a trusted partner for some of the nation’s largest health systems for more than 70 years, providing culinary expertise, nutritional knowledge, and operational excellence to consistently transform the healthcare dining experience and support the healing and wellness objectives of its clients. Recognized repeatedly for its exceptional workplace culture and training programs, Morrison Healthcare has been named one of Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work since 2012 and has earned Training Magazine’s Top 125/APEX Award Training Organization distinction. The organization operates with a vast team that includes over 1,600 registered dietitians and 1,200 executive chefs, serving more than 600 million meals annually to patients, staff, and visitors.
The Healthcare System-wide Executive Chef role at Morrison Healthcare represents a pinnacle career opportunity for culinary professionals seeking leadership within a high-profile, multi-facility healthcare system with a budget of approximately $27 million. This role involves spearheading culinary operations across all patient dining venues, retail cafés, and catering functions, ensuring every meal adheres to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sanitation. The Executive Chef will be responsible for innovating and evolving menus that are on-trend and meet the specialized nutritional needs of patients while also appealing to staff and visitors. The successful candidate will handle the full scope of culinary management, including inventory control, purchasing, food cost management, and the development and mentorship of local culinary teams. Leaders in this position are also charged with advancing the company’s commitments to corporate social responsibility, health and wellness initiatives, and sustainable food practices focused on seasonality and ethical sourcing. In addition to delivering exemplary culinary standards, the Executive Chef must demonstrate excellent communication skills across multiple levels of the organization, from frontline associates to senior management, with a keen ability to analyze operational trends and spearhead performance improvements. The position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance, reflecting the importance and prestige of this role. This comprehensive position is ideal for culinary professionals who want to influence large-scale healthcare foodservice operations while contributing positively to patient outcomes and community wellness programs.
