Job Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Supervisory work experience in food service of four years or more
- Formal or on-the-job training in resident care techniques, nutrition, food production, sanitation, safety, and management
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficiency in English language for effective communication
- Must be a trained chef
- Demonstrated compassion for the elderly
- Self-motivation
Job Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Supervisory work experience in food service of four years or more
- Formal or on-the-job training in resident care techniques including nutritional monitoring and assessment
- Knowledge of general nutrition, food production, service, sanitation, safety, and management
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Compassion for elderly residents
- Must be a trained chef
- Self-motivation and leadership ability
Job Duties
- Innovate, plan, promote, and supervise a food service program that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards as well as specialized dietary needs
- Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and supervise a full complement of staff
- Establish, document, direct, and assist in kitchen and dining room sanitation procedures
- Prepare schedules for all shifts for kitchen and dining room staff and post in work areas
- Comply with all state, local, and federal health, safety, and operational regulations
- Maintain appropriate staffing and inventory levels within budget guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
