Job Description
Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino is a renowned hospitality and gaming destination located in Airway Heights, Washington. This full-service resort is known for its vibrant casino floor, luxurious accommodations, and diverse dining options that cater to a wide variety of tastes and preferences. The resort is committed to delivering an outstanding guest experience through exceptional service, unique entertainment offerings, and an inviting atmosphere that reflects the rich culture and heritage of the Spokane Tribe. As a premier resort and casino, Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino plays an essential role in the local economy and community, blending hospitality excellence with a strong sense of cultural pride and community involvement.
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate the guest dining experience across all food venues at Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee all culinary operations within a multi-outlet hospitality environment that includes everything from casual dining to high-volume quick-serve restaurants. The Executive Chef will be responsible for setting and maintaining high culinary standards through menu development, recipe standardization, and ensuring quality and consistency in every dish served. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, operational expertise, and a passion for food that inspires both kitchen staff and guests.
In this role, you will manage food and labor costs effectively, maintain inventory and vendor relations, and ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations. You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing kitchen team dedicated to service excellence and innovation in cuisine. Collaboration with Food & Beverage leadership will be essential to aligning culinary strategies with overall business objectives and enhancing guest satisfaction. This leadership opportunity not only demands culinary and operational expertise but also a commitment to fostering a positive kitchen culture that values mentorship, creativity, and accountability.
Our Executive Chef will have 8+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, including at least 3 years in an Executive Chef or similar leadership role within a multi-outlet resort or casino environment. A culinary degree or equivalent background is required, along with proven skills in managing food costs, budgeting, and profit and loss responsibilities. The position requires a hands-on leadership style that emphasizes team development and organizational excellence. Candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid Washington State Food Handler Certification and current MAST certification. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and demonstrated skills. This role is perfect for a culinary leader ready to make a significant impact on a respected and growing resort property where innovation, hospitality, and community values are deeply embedded.
