The current opportunity at TouchPoint is for a Kitchen Manager role, offering a salary of $75,000 per annum, categorized under pay grade 12. This position involves overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that meals are prepared according to corporate guidelines and standards. The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in planning menus, training kitchen staff, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, and managing inventory to meet established guidelines. This role demands a high level of culinary expertise, management capabilities, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning both regular and modified menus in accordance with company policies, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality food preparation. Training kitchen staff on food handling, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment is a core part of the role. The Kitchen Manager must also coordinate maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and workspace cleanliness, manage inventory efficiently, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to food safety and sanitation.

Job Requirements

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • extensive catering experience a plus
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
  • ServSafe certified – highly desirable

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
  • trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards
  • establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
  • maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed
  • complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • performs other duties as assigned
